Where we sit in the chain
01
Farm supplier
Seed, fertiliser and inputs reach the grower. The quality of what comes out of the ground is set here, long before anything is treated.
02
Farmer
The crop is grown and brought to maturity. Temong works with growers to make sure the harvest arrives in a condition worth protecting.
03
Harvest and transport
Product is lifted and moved to the plant. Time and handling in this window drive most of the microbial load we later remove.
04
SterilisationThis is our step
Our step. Saturated steam removes bacteria, moulds and pathogens while flavour, colour and texture are held intact. No chemicals, no radiation.
05
Primary aggregator
Treated product moves to the wholesaler or retailer, consolidated and ready to enter the formal supply chain.
06
Distributor
Product is distributed onward to the businesses and outlets that will put it in front of a buyer.
07
Consumer
The crop reaches the table with its character intact and its microbial risk removed. That is what the whole chain is for.
What happens to your batch
Intake
Your batch arrives and is identified, so what leaves the plant is traceably the same material that came in.
Steam treatment
Saturated steam is applied under controlled conditions. Heat and moisture destroy bacteria, moulds and pathogens on the crop.
Drying back
Moisture introduced by the treatment is taken back out, returning the product to a stable condition for storage and blending.
Release
Treated product is packed and returned to you, ready to move on to the aggregator, the distributor or straight into your blend.
Cycle parameters are set per product — a leafy herb and a whole peppercorn do not want the same treatment. Ask us about your crop and we will tell you what it needs, and whether steam is the right answer for it at all.
Want to see the plant?
We would rather show you than tell you. Book a visit to Chamdor and walk the line.
